It is amazing how much I love a recipe that makes things fast and easy. Although many people are probably sugar cookies regularly, does not interfere stages, it is a treat that I did not often patience. Now, that being said, it's on my "bucket list Cooking" to learn how to make beautiful royal iced cookies that some bloggers are so amazing, but I'm taking baby steps OK! Meanwhile, I am happy to meet my cookie-sweet-tooth with sugar simplest cookie bars to sugar in the world.

instead of cooling and rolling and cutting dough- you just press into a pan and bake! A simple buttercream is foamed on and there you have it- a perfect palace for any seasonal colored sprinkles and ice! I find these bars soft and creamy, with a not too sweet biscuit base makes for a sweet glaze. After sitting for a few minutes until frosting firms making these easy as pie to transport and share. (I did note- bureaucratic sugar from my agent that makes people happy!)

Ingredients
  • ½ cup softened butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 egg white
  • 1½ c sour cream (I only 1 heaping c)
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2½ cups all-flour
  • ½ cooking tea powder
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 vanilla frosting recipe, recipe follows
  • Vanilla frosting
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2½ cups powdered sugar
  • c 2-3 half and half
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla coffee
  • pinch of salt
  • Several food coloring drop (optional)
  • Sprinkles (optional)
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Butter a quarter of a sheet pan or an "x 9" baking dish 13, set aside.
  2. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt, set aside.
  3. In the bowl of an electric mixer, beat together butter and sugar until pale and fluffy about 2-3minutes. Mix the egg and egg white. Add sour cream and vanilla and mix until blended. (Mixture may be a little lumpy at this point.)
  4. With the mixer running on low, slowly add the dry mixture and stir until just combined. Scoop the batter into the prepared pan and use an off-set spatula to gently spread on the edges. (Use your hands to gently press if necessary.)
  5. Bake 15-18 minutes or until the mixture is a little firm and the edges are lightly browned.
  6. Cool completely, then frost and cut into squares
Vanilla frosting :.
  1. In a bowl, with electric mixer, beat the butter and powdered sugar until thick. (Mixture will look dry.) Add half and half a little at a time until fluffy. Mix the vanilla and salt. Add in foods in food coloring and mix well option
